Do You Know? Albuquerque, NM -- Surgical Strike at the Heart of the Late-Term Abortion
/ By C.J. Williams, Social Media Coordinator
On this Independence Day weekend, we in the States celebrate our freedom. In New Mexico, Bud and Tara Shaver are celebrating that god-given gift by subverting the viciously pro-abort state legislature: they have introduced a Pain Capable Abortion Ban as a city ordinance in Albuquerque.
More than 3,500 children per day are brutally disenfranchised by abortion to the most extreme degree – they aren’t even given a life to struggle for independence in. And Al. New Mexico is the late-term abortion capital of this country.
With a petition, and grass-roots effort, the Shavers are fighting with their freedom for the freedom of the least of these – both mothers and babies. Why mothers, too? Because it is women, and mothers, who are lied to and robbed when a clinic, a culture, a state tells them murdering their child is okay; and it is mothers who routinely die from the high-risk late-term procedure, known as MOLD, which injects into their abdomen a chemical meant to cause heart attack in the baby.
Public records of the Albuquerque. 911 calls have been collected by the Shavers.
Unsafe. Common. But wholly legal.
In August, Survivors will descend on Albuquerque for a 9 day Leadership Prolife Camp to plaster the city with the truth: abortion kills. This will be a surgical strike at the surgical butchery of abortion. It will be an exercise of our rights as Americans, as our duty as Americans – to stand “in constant vigilance” as Thomas Jefferson once said, for our liberty.
Late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd’s informed consent paperwork neatly spells out the risks of this grotesque procedure – abortions at this point in human development are much more dangerous than carrying the child to term. But if that’s not clear enough, the 911 calls are.
Bud and Tara Shaver, having gone through Survivors ProLife Bootcamp, are well equipped to challenge the abortion cartel, and activated to take their tools to the streets. At the same time, they are Americans who have taken the responsibility of freedom to heart. To be free is never to be uninterested in a fellow human being’s freedom. To be free is to be constantly vigilant. To celebrate independence, we must protect our rights – to independence, and first, to life.
Albuquerque city ordinance is unprecedented. It takes the federal Fetal Pain-Capable Bill, recently passed by the House, to the local level, acknowledges the fact that as early as 8 weeks gestation a developing baby can respond to touch (confirmed by testimony given in during a House Judiciary Committee meeting by Dr. Maureen Condic, who is Associate Professor of Neurobiology and Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine) and speaks for the people not just of New Mexico, but of the nation – 80% of whom oppose late-term abortion wholly.
This could be a touchstone for the nation – the beginning of a landslide for life, and a local-level avalanche to abolish abortion from the ground up.
