Blown-up pictures of dismantled and beheaded babies confronted Fullerton College students as they were faced with giant placards in the quad today for an anti-abortion demonstration.
Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, a Christian, pro-life organization stood passed out colorful information tabloids, containing statistics, testimonials and hotline numbers.
Spokeswoman and Director of Campus Life Tours Kortney Blythe, said their main push is to educate the student body, particularly women who are pregnant and are unsure whether or not they should have an abortion.
Richard McCarty, 30, a member of the tour said that people are often undereducated about the manner in which abortions are done and its psychological impact. McCarty called the act "a denial of human rights."
As students browsed the placards and discussed the issue with the Survivors members, serious issues of a woman's choice, responsibilities and alternatives were raised.
"I don't think [abortion] is right," said Eric Parsons, 19, a business economics major. "A woman can murder a baby, but in the case of Scott Peterson who gets double murder for killing his wife and unborn child, what's the difference?"
Rachel Olaniyi, 15, another Fullerton Campus student said, "I'm pro-choice because that's the girl's body and if they made a mistake, they should have the right. It's not that I support abortion, but I don't support a rule against not having one."
The group aims to dispel myths and make known the realities of having an abortion.
According to McCarty, "We've cheapened life enough the last 30 years. We need to draw the line."

Abortion is not a fundemental right in the Constitution. Our Supreme Court and the gov't invented this right while these same parties busy themselves violating every other Constitutional right. (Continued…)
