Four Hearts (And One Paper) Changed

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect Thursday morning when we pulled up to Pasadena City College. I was hoping it wasn’t going to be like the other days this week – a lot of ridicule, a few good conversations and very little actual intelligence.

To be honest, I didn’t know how many more people telling me I should get myself raped or killed I could take. But God decided to switch it up for me, thankfully.

After I got there and set up, the first person I had a conversation with was a short man on crutches who was already pro-life and encouraged me. But I was hoping for more confrontational conversations, and I soon got a different kind of chance.

A young man quickly came up and started talking to me. He would have passed me by without a thought but he saw the graphic pictures, stopped, turned around, came up to me and started to read and talk to me.

He asked a few questions then looked me in the eye and said, “I never really thought about this before today. If I had ever gotten a girl pregnant, I would have pressed for an abortion. You have changed my mind today.” After all the apathy and ridicule of the past three days, that young man’s comment made me know that it was all worth it for that one moment.

Soon after he left, two more girls saw the pictures and came up to read. I started talking to them and they asked me every question imaginable over the course of an hour.

One of the girls almost aborted her baby, and she was glad she didn’t. But until yesterday she still believed abortion was ok if it was done in the first trimester.

The other girl was strongly pro-choice to the point of writing a paper on the subject.

But after speaking with me, she told me: she was going to rewrite her paper from the pro-life position; could I tell her where she could learn more; and was it possible to keep in contact with her if she had any questions.

I gave her some more information and my e-mail address. She also signed up for our email list.

Both those girls had radical transformations of their hearts. They are now both completely against abortion in all cases. After they left I was so excited. I was completely amazed at God and what he had done.

I had a few more people thank me for what I was doing, and even more just walk by and look the other way. Even though there was the typical apathy, me being there had already been proven worthwhile because of the changed hearts earlier.

While I was reflecting upon this a young Hispanic girl came up to me and we started talking. When we first started talking she told me she was pro-abortion, but she really didn’t know what abortion was. I showed her the pictures, and the medical diagrams and she looked at me and said, “I never knew.” God is so amazing.

During the entire time I was there I did not get one bad comment, no hatred or stupidity, just good conversations. I talked to quite a few people that day, most were just in shock at the pictures, but I know that because God put me there that day that at least four hearts and one paper were changed.

This really touches my heart that you take the time to go talk to people about abortion and try to protect the life of the unborn. Thank you. I pray more and more people hear your word and choose life.
God bless you all for what you are doing!!!

this is so good to hear. you know once someone is educated about this evil then they can see for themselves that abortion is really evil. Thank god for people like you who are able to travel the country and spread the truth about abortion and what it is doing to human beings and society as a whole. god bless you and continued success:)
