Walk for India's Missing Girls March 6th in San Francisco

· Posted 05/03/10 by Administrator

In the last century over 50 million Indian girls have been stripped from the Indian population through female infanticide and abortion. Not only have these tragic devaluing circumstances deprived women their lives but it has caused an increase in sexual abuse, trafficking, and violence against women.

Southern California Survivors are packing their bags and journeying to San Francisco for the Walk for India’s Missing Girls. We encourage you to join us in solidarity for the missing Indian girls who deserve the right to live.

When: Saturday March 6th @ 11:00AM

Where: In front of the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park and ends at the Indian Embassy, 540 Arguello Blvd.

Contact Cheryl Conrad at Cheryl@survivors.la if you are interested in meeting up with us for the walk.

The walk is organized by Bay Area resident Nyna Pais Caputie.
