Survivors is a Christian, pro-life youth ministry dedicated to educating and activating high school and college age individuals. We are looking for a dedicated and courageous individual to lead our Survivors Campus Outreach.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Campus Outreach Director is responsible for the overall leading, coordinating and administration of the Survivors Campus Life Tours. The Campus Life Tour (CLT) consists of 6 to 10 young men and women, traveling throughout the U.S. with educational displays designed to introduce the abortion debate to high school and college campuses. Through the use of these displays (including graphic images of abortion, descriptions/photos of fetal development and abortion techniques, and factual consequences of abortion), educational literature and intelligent debate, the Survivors challenge students to rethink their position on abortion at hundreds of campuses every year. The CLT team will also travel to Ensenada Mexico each semester to minister to children at an orphanage.

COMPENSATION: 18K – 30K annual depending on experience and qualification

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize and lead a 12-week campus tour for each spring and fall semester including:

Recruit 5 to 9 CLT missionary team members for each spring and fall semester

Develop, implement and maintain a personal donor cultivation and missionary support program to assist missionary team members in raising the necessary financial support for their CLT mission commitment.

Arrange for the resources needed to provide for the missionary team members’ housing, food, transportation, and other needs.

Plan and facilitate an orientation and pro-life apologetics and activist training for missionary team members. Facilitate continued pro-life training throughout the semester.

Provide quality leadership, supervision and support for the missionary team members throughout the semester.

Lead the CLT team in sharing the pro-life message at schools through educational displays, distributing literature, and engaging in dialogue defending the pro-life position.

Lead daily bible devotions with missionary team members.

Communicate with Survivors Executive Director and attorneys on all legal incidents. Adhere to Survivors legal protocols when dealing with any legal incidents. Keep accurate files of all legal incidents, following protocol.

Coordinate and supervise the following CLT related responsibilities:

CLT schedule of campuses for each semester.

Post CLT calendar and invite local pro-lifers and campus pro-life clubs to participate with CLT in each scheduled city.

Contact and recruit local supporters for each area of scheduled tour for housing and meals.

Inform college campuses in writing 48 hours prior to campus tour visit.

Diplomatic communication with campus administration and police on behalf of the CLT team.

Photography and videography, following protocol at all campus outreaches.

Keep accurate records documenting: literature distribution, communication with campus administration, legal incidents, expenditures, etc.

Writing of news articles of key stories and experiences from campus outreaches for Survivors weekly emails, social networking, blogs and newsletters.

Purchase and maintenance of CLT equipment and supplies.

Repair and maintenance of CLT vehicles.

Other responsibilities:

Submit a proposed Campus Outreach budget to the Executive Director annually and seek to direct Campus Outreaches within the approved budget.

Assist with marketing, promotions and public relations of Survivors.

Assist in preparations and help lead Survivors events other than the Campus Life Tours.

Develop and implement other effective campus outreaches.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Personal and consistent relationship with Jesus Christ and active in a local Christian church.

Committed to serving God and the body of Christ.

A humble and obedient servant with a teachable spirit and committed to team participation.

Must agree to the Survivors Mission Statement, Articles of Faith and CLT Missionary Policies

23 years or older.

Willing to travel.

Current valid driver’s license and ability to drive or the willingness to learn to drive a large passenger van.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge consensus and a sense of common purpose among people with differing points of view and doctrinal beliefs.

Ability to lead and manage a team of 5 to 9 people.

Ability to think and plan strategically, to set goals and to be held accountable.

Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate and debate the pro-life position.

The ability to communicate with all generations.

Good diplomatic skills.

Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office.

Experience in pro-life ministry is helpful.

College education is helpful.
